TWOS AND THREES

Twos and Threes
At ages two and three, your child is quickly learning and developing, growing into the person he or she will be. At this time, self-esteem and resilience are becoming a part of your child’s being and it needs to be carefully nourished. At Teachable Moments Child Development Center, we’re here to help guide your child through this important developmental period.

Twos Environment and Program:
Independence Avenue!

The Terrible Twos! As toddlers grow into Twos, they’re starting to get into everything. You want to foster their independence and feed their creativity, but you need to show them the proper boundaries, too. At Teachable Moments Child Development Center, our teachers and caregivers are ready to give your two-year-old the support he or she needs to understand what is acceptable and what is not.

During the Twos, children’s vocabularies are growing quickly from about 25 core words to a mastery of over 350-400 words. We help children continue the development of their vocabulary by engaging them in stories and encouraging their own storytelling abilities. Our teachers and caregivers provide the perfect balance of empathy and guidance to help children learn to recognize the needs of others and to vocalize their own needs.

Threes Environment and Program: Imagination Station!

Creativity blossoms during the Threes! When your three-year-old engages in creative thinking, they are not only putting their imagination to work, but also developing strong social skills and problem-solving abilities. Through pretend play with friends, storytelling and drawing with crayons, children will begin to build a foundation for reading and writing skills.

At Teachable Moments Child Development Center, we strive to feed your child’s curiosity and allow them to process new information during daily games and play. It is through play that your child organizes, classifies and builds an understanding of the environment around them.
